Iditarod Adventure Tour
|
|||||||
True adventure awaits you along the Iditarod race. We will guide you from the start in Anchorage to the finish in Nome. Many prearranged activities are available, including Alaska bush plane flying, driving your own dog team, visits to secret hot springs, snow machining, winter camping (if desired), and aurora viewing. Our all inclusive 10-12 day trip includes all food and lodging. All you need to bring is your warm winter clothes, sleeping bag, and sense of adventure. We normally fly a little each day but seldom more than 4 hours per day, which leaves plenty of time to experience the race, the people along the trail and the wilderness. Lodging arrangements vary depending on the clients needs and the circumstances along the trail. Typical arrangements include hotel, cabin or lodge and village schools. Typically we will overnight in Skwetna, Puntilla Lake (Rainy Pass), McGrath, Ophir or Takotna, Anvik or Ruby, Unalakleet, Elim or White Mountain. The client is responsible for travel to and from Anchorage and Nome.
